We bring you into the heart of cycling. Sharing meals and stories with icons such as Giovanni Battaglin, witnessing the precision and artistry of Passoni, and connecting directly with brands that still craft their products in-house, and not in outsourced factories.

 WHEELHOUSE CYCLING TOURS - ABOUT US 

The concept for our touring company came easy. Once we started The Wheelhouse, a bike shop offering boutique brands with custom build options in the Calgary area, our clients were asking for options to go ride with them. After spending time attending other camps and events, we felt the culture of cycling was missing. Mainly due to tour operators booking hotel rooms and providing buffet style food options, not to mention the parked support vehicle you only see once on your ride. We wanted to do something different and we wanted to bring the culture back to cycling camps. Bringing a private chef on our tours was paramount. Sitting together enjoying a meal and breaking down the rides and planning for the next day, and sharing the stories are what creates the everlasting memories.

At Wheelhouse Cycling Tours, every detail is designed to create genuine connections between riders, the local culture, and the legendary brands that inspire us. We believe cycling is about more than distance or speed; it’s about the camaraderie forged on the road, the stories shared over family-style meals, and the life-long memories born from truly authentic experiences. Seeing riders shift from uncertainty, doubt and even fear to confidence, joy and being excited to attack the next climb is an infectous outcome of these camps. It reminds us why we ride. Not being the fastest up a hill or doing the most distance, but watching people grow, build confidence and then reminisce on what they were feeling going through their epic European climbs.
